Lynx Heli Innovations has redesigned the standard 130 X plastic main grip, using aluminum alloy.

Micro helicopter upgrades can be a trap – often they look nice but do little for function, and only add weight.

We spent hours optimizing the design to achieve the required strength with a final weight beyond compromise. We are pilots, and we demand a light helicopter.

After many flights, we decided on a twin 5x2x2 radial bearing design. Simple, lightweight and durable.

The linkage balls are aluminum to minimize weight.

The details and design of these blade grips add to the performance of your helicopter.

Strength, durability, accurate CNC tolerances, finish, and most important weight.

Almost unbelievable, but this main grip set weighs just 1.3g heavier than the original plastics grips, with a huge increase in rigidity and strength.

These grips increase flight precision, flight after flight.

Lynx closely test the standard 130 X motor during 3d fly followed by intensive bench test to simulate and retrieve information of motor temperature and dissipation during the harder fly condition. Thanks cooperation with electronics and motor expert, Lynx was able determinate the perfect motor heat sinks for your 130 X standard motor.

Small details make an important difference; Thermal Analysis software interfaced with FEA analysis software give us the support to determinate the best compromise between weight and thermal dissipation efficiently. Your 130 X standard motor will definitely run cooler and speed-up the recovery “low” temperature time between each multi-session fly.

TIPS AND ADVISES FOR BEST FUNCTION:

Add smaller qty of lock thread (medium or strong resistance) in the motor heat sinks clamping surface, this will remove any gap of air between motor and heat sinks surface optimizing thermal exchange, will also easily firmly lock the heat sinks to the outside motor housing

The choice to use C40 carbon steel heat-treated to 50 Rockwell Hardness was used to achieve the highest strength.  This Carbon Steel has been tested in our spindles and because of its added hardness it can withstand minor crashes without damage or bending.

Lynx Heli Innovations has redesigned the standard 180CFX plastic tail grip, using aluminum alloy.
Our tail grip are weighted with integrated CNC weigh, we choose for this specific application to add the center balancer near the lock screw, were will not affect with the normal tail system.
We also determinate vibration form a unbalanced tail grip system, and thanks a special software we moved the position of the linkage ball to move the CG closer possible the tail hub centerline.

We work tirelessly to optimize our designs and perform flight-testing to achieve the desired benefits with a final weight and design specification without compromise.  We are pilots, and we demand upgrades that truly deliver increased performance with the lightest weight possible.
Lynx Heli Innovations is proud to introduce our own in house design Spherical Swivel Bearing assembly that allows the swash plate to pivot around the main shaft better than ever!  Thanks to our experience and our desire to for better solutions, we have created a new Spherical Bearing bushing from a low friction copolymer to ensure an incredibly smooth, solid and precise swivel action while eliminating looseness between the ball and bushing for drastic elimination of any free play.

These parts originally in plastic can’t clamp the boom as need, than vibe or tail wag can upend, reducing the tail system performance.

Why Lynx sale the Head Center Hub in combo with the main shaft??

During out intensive design test we immediately discovery a weak and dangerous point once Aluminum CNC center Hub are installed into standard Nano CPX main shaft.

Standard main shaft is designed to fit into plastic hub and have two parallel slots that fit and lock the rotation in the plastic hub. Those surfaces are NOT designed to fit in the CNC center hub and can compromise the assembly lock with risk of dangerous center hub infly disassembly.

For us security first and we design a special shaft for CNC center hub.

Lynx shaft is specifically designed for Lynx Head Center Hub and have special slot that assure the clamp and the perfect lock assembly. Pictures below had shown the difference between Lynx special shaft and standard main shaft slots.
