Scorpion HK-40 C-Clip Kit factory replacement C-Clip

The Scorpion HK-40 C-Clip Kit are the factory replacement C-Clip, washers & set screw HK-4020, HK-4025, HK-4035 & all HKIII-40 Series Helicopter Motors. (Except HK-4015)

The Scorpion HK-4015 motors are built with 8mm hardened steel shafts that will last through countless hours of flying fun, but occasionally, on a "Less than Perfect" landing, you may bend or break one. For these occasions, we offer factory replacement shafts for all the HK-4015 series Scorpion Helicopter Motors.

The shaft for the HK-4015 series motors measures 6mm in diameter, and is 73.7mm in long. The Stock HK-4015 motors have a 5mm output shaft end on them to allow the user to install 5mm pinion gears. The shaft kit will also fit other brushless motors that require an 6mm shaft of this length with a 5mm end. The shafts can be cut shorter with a Dremel tool and a cut-off wheel if necessary to fit other motors.

Note: The shafts in the Scorpion motors are a slight press fit into the aluminum front housing. The shafts will not just slide out when the setscrews are removed. They need to be pressed out in a bearing press, or in a drill press, with the front housing of the motor supported in a block of wood to prevent warping the front housing.

This shaft kit is for the HKIII-4035 & HK-4035 XL series motors that used in GAUI X7 Heli and measures 8mm in diameter, and is 110mm in length. The pinion end (48mm) of this shaft is ground down to 6mm to allow the user to install 6mm pinion gears. The shaft kit will also fit other brushless motors that require a 6mm shaft of this length. The shafts can be cut shorter with a Dremel tool and a cut-off wheel if necessary to fit other motors.

Scorpion HK Series Brushless Motors are built from the best materials available, and are designed to provide both quality and performance at an affordable price. Scorpion starts with high quality aluminum alloy parts that are produced on the latest CNC milling machines. These parts are then gold anodized to provide a beautiful, long-lasting finish. The stators are made with 0.2mm laminations to give maximum efficiency, and minimum Eddy current losses. The stators are epoxy coated to prevent shorts, and are wound with wire that is rated at 180 degrees C (356 F). The magnets used in Scorpion Motors are custom manufactured to be able to withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees C (392 F).

All Scorpion HK Series 22mm motors come with 3.5mm male Bullet style connectors already attached, and include a hardware package that contains 3 matching female Bullet connectors for your speed controller, heatshrink to cover the bullet connectors and mounting screws. Since the HK series motors are primarily designed for Helicopter and Ducted Fan use, they do not include a prop adapter. If you intend on running a prop on this motor, you will need to purchase a prop adapter for a 3.17mm shaft (1/8 inch).

Scorpion Motors are built to last, and are backed with a 2-Year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. However, due to the high RPM of these motors, and the fact that we cannot control the installation and setup, the bearings are not covered by the 2-Year warranty, nor is any subsequent damage caused to the motor by a bearing failure. Bearings are a normal wear item, and as such, need to be maintained and changed periodically. For maximum life, make sure that a sufficient gap is left between the pinion and main gear during motor installation to avoid binding, and put a small drop of oil on each bearing every 5-6 flights. It is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure that the bearings are maintained properly.

The Scorpion HK 40/42/45 Series Bearing Maintenance Kit is made by air craft grade aluminum, it provides an easiest and quickest way to Disassemble the bearings from Scorpion HK 40/42/45 Series Motor.

The Scorpion HKxx -4025  series motors are built with 8mm hardened steel shafts that will last through countless hours of flying fun, but occasionally, on a "Less than Perfect" landing, you may bend or break one. For these occasions, we offer factory replacement shafts for all the hk 4025 series Scorpion Helicopter Motors.

This shaft kit is for the HK-xx 4025 series motors that used in newer T-600 Heli. It measures 8mm in diameter, and is 88.5mm in length. The pinion end of this shaft is ground down to 6mm to allow the user to install 6mm pinion gears. The shaft kit will also fit other brushless motors that require a 6mm shaft of this length. The shafts can be cut shorter with a Dremel tool and a cut-off wheel if necessary to fit other motors.

Note: The shafts in the Scorpion motors are a slight press fit into the aluminum front housing. The shafts will not just slide out when the setscrews are removed. They need to be pressed out in a bearing press, or in a drill press, with the front housing of the motor supported in a block of wood to prevent warping the front housing.

The Scorpion HK-3026 Bearing Maintenance Kit is made by air craft grade aluminum, it provides an easiest and quickest way to Disassemble the Scorpion HK-30 Series Motor.

In order to keep your motor in top running condition, you need a good set of bearings. Occasionally, after a crash or landing in the dirt, the bearings can become damaged and need to be replaced. The Scorpion HK-45mm Motor Bearing Kit includes a pair of original equipment replacement bearings to fit the Scorpion HK-45 Series motors. (except HK-4526)

Please note, the bearings are an exact fit into the motor housings, so they do fit snugly. When removing the old bearings, you may need to gently tap them out. However, when installing the new bearings, do not tap them in with anything, as this can dent the ball races and ruin the bearings. When installing ball bearings they need to be pressed in by the outer part of the race. Never apply pressure to the inner race, as this can damage the bearing and lead to premature failure.
